A Rose At Sea In Bournemouth

A rose at sea in Bournemouth is this week’s Foto Friday, which follows on from Wednesday’s ‘romance’ theme for Valentine’s week.

valentine, valentine's day, rose, sea, uk, bournemouth, england, beach

While I was strolling along Bournemouth Beach the other day, I spotted a girl taking a photograph of a rose that was planted in the sand.  I thought it had to be part of a project but she walked off, leaving the rose behind.  That led me to assume that it wasn’t her rose.  So, I think it was probably left there by a photographer who had been taking wedding photographs of a newly married couple.  I could be wrong but people who get married in Bournemouth often head to the beach to have some photos taken.  Well, it is a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos, wouldn’t you agree?

It was late in the day when I took this photograph.  The tide was going out and you can see the reflection of the clouds and the rose in the water.
