Dali and Eggs

I visited the Dali Theatre Museum in Figueres the other day and was fascinated by it.  I have to be honest, I knew very little about Dali before entering the museum but knew a heck of a lot more by the time I left.  Before I even set foot in the museum, I wondered about his obvious interest in eggs because of the egg-shaped structures on the top of the Dali Museum (see photo below).  Apparently, these are a common image in Dali’s work, which symbolise hope and love.

I found the museum both interesting and entertaining: interesting because you can see so much in just one painting and entertaining because there were a few things in there that made me laugh.  I think it captures the spirit of Dali.  There is a suggested route that you can follow so you don’t miss anything but, as it is a museum about Dali, you are encouraged to find your own way round.  I think it’s well worth visiting.

Not sure where it is?  Never fear, I have included a map!
