For this Foto Friday, we are in Bali: Lovina, to be exact. I decided to go there to escape the madding crowd of the south and to see a bit more of the island. I happened to be there in the low season, which was fortunate for a few reasons:
1. It was wonderfully peaceful and relaxing.
2. I was able to afford the rare treat of staying in a very comfortable hotel that led straight out onto the beach
3. I was lucky enough to be there for the full moon so I took full advantage of it and enjoyed my very first moonlight swim in private. It was magical: just me, the moon and the calm sea.
Ahhh, it brings back wonderful memories….
Getting back to the photograph, I was about to go for a stroll along the black sandy beach when I spotted these local boys who were just about to head out on the boat. What a fantastic way to spend an evening!
If this is screaming at you to go and you “are lovin”‘ the sound of Lovina, have a look on the map below to see where it is in Bali:
Further information about Lovina
I found some great information on the Wikitravel page for Lovina that is worth checking out if you are seriously thinking of going. It has information on how to get there and what you can see and do.
