As you know, having won the previous round, I’ve been hosting the latest round of Travel Photo Roulette, which is a fun photographic competition for travel and photography bloggers. It really has been a lot of fun, a lot more fun than I realised. It’s been great connecting with other bloggers, seeing their interpretation of ‘quirky’ in the photographs and finding out the stories behind them. Some of the photographs have really made me laugh, so I would like to thank everyone who participated, not just for taking part, but for keeping me entertained.
There were 12 entries in total, spanning three continents.
It was difficult judging the competition because of the diverse way each blogger interpreted the theme and the high quality of some of the photographs. But, I had to chose a winner. In reverse order from third to first place, here are the results:
In third place is Have Blog. Will Travel. Every time I look at this photograph, it makes me laugh. The fact that someone in Krakow is dressed up as a beer and is buying a pretzel is very quirky in my book.
In second place, The Crowded Planet‘s photograph of this James Dean monkey in Hampi, India is not just quirky, but a fantastic photograph. To capture such a high quality photograph in what could have been a relatively short time frame is very impressive.
In first place is Quit Job. Travel World with the cow taxi. This is the quirkiest taxi I have ever seen. I had no idea there were taxis like this, never having been to Myanmar. The fact that you can go to whichever part of Myanmar this is and hop in a taxi like this is why it is the winner of this round of the Travel Photo Roulette competition #77. Congratulations and now it’s over to you!
Once again, I would like to thank everyone who took part and for making my job, judging this competition, so difficult. 😉
Have your say
What do you think about the results? Would you have chosen the cow taxi?
